Behold, I Send "Elijah" - My Messenger - Before Me

Yahweh's Intercessors: His servants the prophets.
In Amos 3:7, the Sacred Scripture [matter-of-factly] states: "Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets." And yet, why does He always operate in this well-established and carefully defined manner? Meanwhile, Proverbs 29:18 gives us this remarkably honest answer, "Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law." Consequently, we find that Yahweh's own personal actions are always set down and predefined by His prophets, that they might not be: mis-understood, mis-applied, or mis-interpreted by His People.

Throughout human history He has always carefully chosen and selectively raised up these servants among us - in the same spirit as "Elijah, The Prophet" - to cull and shepherd His flock... for it is the inherent nature of man to pick and choose amongst His scriptures - only those passages, which will justify and rationalize our already firmly entrenched personal positions. Rather than obeying all of His scriptures, and seeking out a full communion with Our Father Yahweh, we prefer to stand just comfortably close - for whenever He might be more reasonably needed.

"God In The Box" video, recently on Youtube.
From man's naturally minded perspective, we desire our God to be kept in a box safely and securely - while we may largely go about our daily lives reasonably unmolested by fits of spiritual conscience... then, when our troubles become too great to bear, we may simply open this box and call upon His Name... finally, when our troubles are once again over, we may close the box [as always] until God is further needed. This is an insidious form of "Half-Hearted," "Laodicean," and "Double-Minded" Worship - based upon human selfishness, scriptural perversion, and spiritual wickedness - and it displays our utter contempt for The Creator, which we arrogantly and foolishly expect Him to fully accept.

We treat our human parents in exactly the very same way, and somehow continue to get away with it... So, why should Yahweh be any different? Sure, it breaks our parent's hearts - for us to show them such callous contempt - but, their "Continual LOVE" is a given and they'll always forgive us our [ongoing] personal transgressions.... In fact, what Real Choice do they have? When everything is said and done, we are their own children, after all! Consequently, if God is our "Spiritual Father," then the very same rules must equally apply - should they not?

Yahweh knows the condition of your heart.
No, brothers and sisters, they do not! For, unlike our earthly mothers and fathers, Yahweh knows the true condition of our hearts... He has intimate access to our inner thoughts... and He understands the lifeless, cold, and calculated motivations, which lie at the heart of our ongoing spiritual presumption. While our parents may only observe our short term change of direction, and can hope that it truly represents our own personal maturity and spiritual repentance - Yahweh absolutely understands our True Spiritual Condition! He cannot be fooled by our momentary actions of situation inspired: obedience, adoration, and reverence.

In Galatians 6:7, it is written:
  • "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows of the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

The "Prodigal Son" resting amidst the swine.
Although he both: loves us, and desires true fellowship with His "Prodigal Children" - He is fully capable of separating "His Sheep" from "The Goats." Therefore, we are only fooling ourselves, when we attempt to place Yahweh into that very same box! This is the importance of the scriptures - in that, this message is continually repeated throughout them. Unlike our human parents, Our Heavenly Father has been entirely consistent in the messages, which He has continually given us... His chastisement is lovingly, equally, and consistently applied to each new generation of His children... and He faithfully gives His warnings and admonitions through His servants the prophets.

Consider the following scriptural passage:
  • "For I am Yahweh, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob. Yet from the days of your fathers you have gone away from My ordinances and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts." - Malachi 3:6-7.

U.S. Naval Vessel verses A Lighthouse: video.
Although everyone and everything in our Multiverse continually changes, the inherent nature of Yahweh [Our Heavenly Father] does not! He is a lighthouse of absolute certainty, or continually precise consistency, weathering our storm tossed seas and guiding us safely into peaceful harbors - when we dutifully seek out the light He is continually providing us. And yet, the stubbornness of our stiff necked natures and largely unrepentant hearts prevents the majority from looking up and observing His steady light. Tragically, the rocks are continually all around us, and the safe harbor has been obscured by the fog - which perceptually envelopes us.

Meanwhile, His spiritually discernible actions and His specific generational warnings - which He issues through His prophets - work together to provide this much needed: information, chastening, and correction. The reasons for these combined, or two fold, spiritual messages are simple: "A servant will not be corrected by mere words; For though he understands, he will not respond." As a father myself - who has raised five of my own little children - I can attest to this need for such spiritual reinforcement. The message: "Stay out of the road," is far more effective with the paddle following swiftly behind it! This has [honestly] been my own personal experience.

Generation Ex, no longer under their parent's thumbs.
And yet, I cannot offer the very same encouragement to my own [now] adult children. For they are just as big as me... bound and determined to lead their own lives, in whatever way they personally choose... and man's laws stand largely and firmly behind them. Nor, can we always fully grasp the ever-changing issues confronting our own adult children. Such is the very real dilemma of human parents. Our job - whether for better or worse - is over and done. We can hope, we can pray, and we can offer advice, but invariably they are [now] fully in God's hands; and only He can provide for their ongoing parental and/or spiritual needs. If we have done our job, He shall fully complete the work that we ourselves have started... even as He continues to complete His ongoing work in us.

We must, then place our trust in His word, where it says:
  • "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6.

It's all in Yahweh's hands and we are powerless....
We do so, with the knowledge and understanding that Yahweh fully controls the world around us... that He utilizes the "Universal Laws Of Cause And Effect" to impart valuable spiritual lessons to His adoptive children... and that He gives ample warnings through His servants the prophets, before directly interceding into human affairs! What more can we ask - as human parents - in the interests of our own biological children? If only we ourselves could have been as consistent and capable - when they were very much younger... perhaps, our world wouldn't have had to suffer so much? In the meantime, we shall await patiently in our own boxes - for that glorious day, which will one day come for us all....
